Spotlight Diva Bridgette L. Collins

Entrepreneur - Author - Fitness Coach - Speaker

Bridgette L. Collins is the owner of MAC Fitness (Making-A-Commitment to Fitness), an organization that offers creative solutions for incorporating healthier lifestyle habits. She is also the author of the fast-selling informative novel, Imagine Living Healthier: Mind, Body, and Soul, a novel tailor-made for individuals who struggle with implementing healthier lifestyle habits in the midst of daily demands, obligations and pursuits.

Recognizing the pitfalls of misplaced priorities, Bridgette launched MAC Fitness in 2002 to educate, coach and motivate individuals who struggle with implementing healthier lifestyle habits. She is skilled at creatively crafting solutions that will strengthen her clients' abilities to overcome the physical, financial, and emotional consequences of physical inactivity and poor nutritional habits. Where a quest to incorporate a healthier lifestyle is often hampered by daily demands and obligations, she equips her clients with a collection of lifestyle tools that helps to close the gap between understanding, knowing and doing what is right to reduce the risk of diseases and illnesses.

In her debut novel, she uses an entertaining cast of characters to address the essential components and consequences of healthy and unhealthy lifestyle habits. There are three fictional stories that deal with internal and external issues and problems that cause the characters to gravitate toward unhealthy lifestyle habits.  The stories are designed to help individuals identify the real roots of their inability to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and also seek to remind them that the cure for their ills lies not only in the food they eat or physical inactivity, but in the lifestyle choices they make.

Bridgette holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She has combined nearly twenty years of human resources and program development work experience with her training and passion to deliver health and fitness solutions. A motivational speaker and facilitator, she travels throughout the United States delivering a message that empowers and encourages individuals to incorporate healthier lifestyle habits. She has worked as a certified personal trainer, both privately and for Bally's Total Fitness. She holds a personal trainer certification through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), the largest professional fitness certification organization in America. She has been published as a freelance writer for Crux Magazine, a lifestyle magazine that provides information, insight and inspiration that enables its readers to reach their God-given potential.

Bridgette has been an avid runner for over ten years. She has participated in a host of 5K and 10K races, along with the completion of four marathons and two half marathons. In an effort to share her experiences and benefits gained from a consistent running program, she has coordinated and coached several group walk/run training programs that provided beginner walkers and runners weekly instruction and direction for improving their fitness level. She continues to inspire individuals to train and complete their first 5K, 10K and/or half-marathon sporting event.
